The state of Pahang Darul Makmur is the largest state in the Peninsular Malaysia bordering the State of Kelantan in the north, Perak, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan in the west, the State of Johor in the south and the State of Terengganu and the Southern China Sea in the east.  The Pahang state covers an area of 35,965 square kilometres divided into 11 administrative districts with a population of about 1,572,700 million people and a density of 43 people per km2.
